Parks Inner Child Therapy (PICT)
Parks Inner Child Therapy was developed by Penny Parks, and incorporates aspects
of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Neuro Linguistic
Programming which assists the client to bring about rapid and positive change.

What You Believe is what you get!
Our limiting or mistaken beliefs are laid down in early childhood
and unfortunately are carried with us into adult hood becoming our truth about
ourself. The good news is they are a myth! PICT is able to change
these beliefs, enabling us to live the life we were meant to live without limitations.
Its effects can be profound and long lasting. It was originally
formulated for use with adults who had suffered childhood abuse or poor parenting
and its effects. However it can be used for anyone who wants to address any form
of unwanted behaviour or emotional problem.
Quick Change (Q.C)
Quick change usually takes place over a 5 day period with
four hours of therapy daily. It is intense, extremely effective and useful for
people who are time restrained or live abroad.
A phone interview and a form will determine if this style
of therapy is suitable for you. QC can also be done in varied format over a longer
period.

These are just some of the issues that may be helped by PICT:
Lack of confidence, low self esteem, relationship difficulties, stress related
problems, anger management, eating disorders, grief and bereavement (including
miscarriage or abortion), fears and phobias, depression, anxiety, traumatic incidents
such as rape, sufferers of domestic violence, self harm, emotional, physical
or sexual childhood abuse.
It differs from other models because the client is not required to divulge, or
spend time in repeating the details of traumatic events, this results in it being
more compassionate and less traumatic.
